How Do I discover my Calling ?
For many of us, church is a safe, secure place where we go to worship, pray, and volunteer.
But what if it were so much more? What if the focal point of service wasn’t a preacher’s message but every believer’s Ordination—their individual callings straight from God?
Those are scary questions, we’ll admit. They’re ones most religious leaders won’t even consider
That’s why Christians from all walks of life, all professions and all ages are locked tight in a cage created their seminary degrees, complex doctrinal theories, and all.

When you’ve caught glimpses of your calling and shared it with others in your life, you’ve probably gotten responses like, “You’re not ready. You don’t have the anointing. That couldn’t be God. It’s just your imagination. Who do you think you are? Being a Minister is only for special people who go to seminary.”
As painful as these words may be—especially when they come from those we respect or love—remember that only God has the authority to declare your calling and your destiny. From this knowledge originates your true freedom to be a Minister of the Gospel. You need to hear the words that no traditional church will say:
“God has called YOU, too!”
Are we, the Body of Christ, casting out demons, healing the sick, and raising the dead every single day? Is that “normal” for you?
While every believer has specific daily assignments from God (what Jesus calls “our Daily Bread”), we are collectively called to preach the Gospel to everyone we meet–“and when necessary, use words.”
To discover your calling is to follow the “tug” of the Holy Spirit wherever it may lead you.
And when you are ready to embrace that calling publicly, receive a prophetic impartation, and be launched into your destiny with blessings and encouragement, Five Rivers Ministries will be here for you.
COULD THE ORDINATION CONFERENCE BE RIGHT FOR YOU?
Why Should ALL Believers be Ordained ?
“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.”
Five Rivers Ministries exists to change that. We believe that every Christian, from the pastor in the pulpit to the penitent man in the pew, is called by the Holy Spirit to be a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Therefore, every believer has already been Ordained by God himself!
Legendary Saints and servants of Scripture have received the call of God in their lives with a 3-word answer, “Here am I!”
These are just a few of those who refused to let their God given destiny pass them by.
- Abraham (Genesis 22:1)
- Jacob (Genesis 31:11)
- Moses (Exodus 3:4)
- Samuel (1 Samuel 3:4)
- Isaiah (Isaiah 6:8)
- Jesus (Hebrews 2:12-13)
Like the Disciples, you do not need a seminary degree, approval of a preacher, or “the anointing” to be Ordained as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit that dwells within is your anointing, is your approval, and is worth eternally more than any piece of paper.
It is our mission to circulate this Believer-Empowering message to a total of 25,000,000 believers in North America, to equip Christians to perform the same miraculous works our Lord Jesus and the Early Church did, and to spread an “Epidemic of Hope” among the lost and the hurting.
Could the Ordination Conference be right for you ?
What are the Ordination Conferences about ?
No one has the authority to Ordain a believer except God; that is why our Conferences offer what is called the Proclamation of Ordination.
Christians who attend our conferences have said things like:
“I attended the Ordination conference because I wanted to get a deeper understanding of what God expects from me. I know I’m here for a reason—and I wanted to know what reason is. There’s more to life, so how do I get there?”
“I’ve always felt I walked as a Christian reasonably well, but I was frequently disappointed in the weak light I saw in other Christians and feared others may have seen in me at times. Finding a way to brighten our individual and collective light to the world attracted me to the Ordination conference.”
“Receiving the Proclamation of Ordination was like being granted permission to do what the Lord has for me. I always knew God called me to minister in the marketplace, and I already was. But the Ordination was a public statement, a recognition of God’s calling on my life.”
In most denominational churches, the Ordination “spigot” has been turned on slightly, allowing a space only for those who have passed some sort of exclusive training, earned some special license, and have completed some elaborate coursework.
If the early Church had required what the modern Church now
does to be recognized as a Minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Christianity would have died out long ago!
We have been conditioned to believe that only the “special” people in a church are entitled to be Ordained. Titles, positions, and designations make it clear who is to be listened to—the clergy—and who is to listen to them—the laity.
Do we not remember how and by whom Paul and Barnabas received the Proclamation of Ordination? When the believers of Antioch recognized that Paul and Barnabas had been called-out by the Lord for His service, they responded correctly, as Acts 13:2-3 shows:
“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’ So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.”
In today’s terms, this means that the man who penned the Spirit-inspired teachings that would become the foundational doctrines of New Testament Christianity was ordained through a home Bible study group! This is the Early Church’s forerunner to our Proclamation of Ordination Conference.
Have we forgotten what it means to be the Church? It’s interesting to note that “church” did not originally denote a house of worship or a place of gathering. Rather, the word ecclesia—used 115 times in the New Testament—was used when describing congregations.
An ecclesia is simply defined as an assembly or council of “called-out ones”. This is the government of God in action. No wonder the Apostle Paul didn’t shy away from the political connotations of the title “ambassador” when describing the lifestyle of the average believer! Remember, ambassadors are not only called out from, they are called out to.
Having your Ordination proclaimed is the extra unction you need to step out of the
comfort zone and into the responsibilities and roles where you truly belong.
