In a few paragraphs, write your salvation experience, how you live the Christian lifestyle, and how you have been trained in both Scripture and ministry for a period of at least three years. These are all requirements to attend a Five Rivers Ministries Proclamation of Ordination Conference.

There are several basic requirements for eligibility for potential ordainees of Five Rivers Ministries. These are similar in nature and scope to those for a prospective Elder or Deacon in the congregational context. If you are in agreement with the four following sentences, select “I do” below. If you are not in agreement, select “I do not.” “I walk in honesty and loyalty before both God and man.”

“I rule my home well and (if applicable) set a good example for my children.”

“I handle myself uprightly among others and am not a drunkard or a striker, but rather gentle, uncontentious, hospitable, and a lover of good.”

Select “I agree” or “I do not agree” for each section of the Five Rivers Ministries Statement of Faith: “I believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and actively governs all”

“I believe that the Scriptures of the Old and the New Testament are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in the original manuscripts, and that they provide for mankind the infallible rules of faith and practice.”

“I believe in God the Father, the infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He concerns himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to him through Jesus Christ.”

“I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. I believe in his virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings, his substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into Heaven, perpetual intercession for his people and in his personal, and visible return to Earth.”

“I believe in the Holy Spirit, who comes forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower for ministry all who believe in Christ; I believe the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Healer, Teacher and Guide. I believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the Biblical gifts of the Spirit.”

“I believe that all men are sinners by nature and choice and, therefore, under condemnation; that God regenerates by the Holy Spirit those who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord; that Jesus Christ baptizes the believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service.”

“I believe in the universal Church, the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the Head and that all regenerated persons are members. I believe in the Royal Priesthood of all believers.”

“I believe that the Lord Jesus Christ committed three Ordinances to the Church: Believers’ Baptism, Believers’ Communion, and Believers’ Ordination (i.e., God’s personal and specific impartation and calling as to the operation of his giftings in the temporal life of every believer). I believe in baptism by immersion, that communion is open to all believers, and that a life of committed ministry are all hallmarks of the Royal Priesthood.”

“I believe in the personal, visible return of Christ to Earth and in the establishment of his everlasting Kingdom simultaneously with his holy resurrection by the power of the Holy Spirit of God. I believe in the Bride of Christ; that is, Christ’s sacred Church, which consists of everyone who has been born again. I believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and in the everlasting blessing of the righteous and in the endless suffering of the unredeemed.”

“I believe in what is termed ‘The Apostles’ Creed’ as embodying the fundamental precepts of the Christian faith.”
